Computational Genomics Summer Institute | CGSI

A three-week NIH-funded summer program for graduate students and recent PhDs, held at UCLA, on computational genomics, with a different focus each year. Bruins-In-Genomics (B.I.G.) Summer Undergraduate Research Program

Bruins-In-Genomics (B.I.G.) Summer Research Program is an 8-week full-time immersion program for undergraduates interested in learning how to read and analyze genes and genomes. Through this program, students will have the opportunity to experience graduate-level coursework, and learn the latest cutting-edge research, tools, and methods used by leading scientists to solve real-world problems. MPG Seminar Series

The MPG seminar series is a weekly internal meeting during the academic year that brings together the genomics community interested in medical applications. It is a venue for the exchange of methodological and application ideas at the intersection of computation, biology, and human health for the UCLA community. MPG seminars are by invitation only. Research Frontiers in Biomathematics Seminar Series

This series is offered weekly during the fall quarter and is organized by Professors Elliot Landaw and Mary Sehl. Topics include epigenetics, cancer genomics, gene expression, computational methods, and more. Students, postdocs and faculty in biomathematics, bioinformatics, human genetics, and related disciplines are invited.

Annual Lange Symposium on Biomathematics

The David Geffen School of Medicine and the Department of Computational Medicine at UCLA organizes a day symposium on Biomathematics in honor of UCLA Professor Kenneth Lange. We feature scientific talks by some of Dr. Lange’s esteemed colleagues, former students, and invited speakers in the field.
