Biography

Dr. Gornbein is a Professor in the Department of Computational Medicine (formerly Biomathematics) and is a Principal Statistician in the Statistics Core of the Department of Medicine at UCLA. He is also a lecturer in the UCLA School of Public Health and at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He has worked with the Laboratory for Applied Pharmacokinetics in the USC Medical School and for the BMDP statistical software corporation. Dr. Gornbein earned a DrPH from UCLA in 1987. He is an author or coauthor on over 150 publications, and has worked with both academia and industry including Siemens, Glaxo and the National Genetics Institute and the FDA and the NIH.
