UCLA Students Lead Session at SACNAS

Chris Robles presents "Beyond Excel: Data Visualization with RStudio to Improve Your Posters, Presentations, and Publications”

UCLA student Chris Robles will lead a session at the National SACNAS conference (Oct. 31 - Nov. 2, 2019) entitled "Beyond Excel: Data Visualization with RStudio to Improve Your Posters, Presentations, and Publications”.  Chris participated in both B.I.G. Summer and the Computational Genomics Summer Institute (CGSI) and is now a Ph.D. student in Genetics and Genomics, advised by Sriram Sankararaman. He and Emelia Huerta-Sanchez, an assistant professor at Brown University and a speaker in CGSI 2016 and 2018, proposed the session to SACNAS. Four other UCLA students are participating as panelists: Jesse Garcia, Jessica Ochoa, Michael Emami, and Jazlyn Mooney. SACNAS is a national organization that promotes diversity in the sciences.
